For our little girl...

We went to the Asian Festival in Reston with the family. This year the Philippines was the featured country. We bought this onesie for Luce. It means "pretty".

Lucy's nursery is coming along...

Our fantastic friend, Christine came over again tonight to help out. She and Rae put together the crib and dresser/changing table.



Now that we have the book case in there, I could not resist arranging her books. I developed a love of reading from my dad. Rae and I both want to make sure that Lucy values learning and appreciates books.








It turns out that in addition to painter and handy lady, Christine is also a really great artist. She painted a cute frame and a beautiful, little sign for Lucy's room. We are very grateful for all of her support!

Getting ready for little Lucy...

I started painting Lucy's room last Monday. I finished up last night with the help of our friend, Christine. She was quite the professional painter, so it went by quickly and turned out really pretty. We are excited to paint the trim and get her furniture in there.

23 weeks

Sonogram, 23 weeks

We had a sonogram appointment last Friday to check things out with Lucy. She was hanging out on her back last time we were there, so they could not check her spine. That meant we got another chance to see our girl. She is doing great. She now weighs one pound and all of her measurements are good. We are getting extremely excited. Her crib arrived this week and I started painting her room - "Celery Sprig".

I am including a picture, but she would not stop moving so it is not as clear as the last one. But we can see she has her mom's nose, the Gomez nose, which I love! My little Filipinas!

Grammy Present #19 and #20

Thank you to Grammy Sheets who sent us a big box of all kinds of cute little outfits. We are so excited to see Lucy in all of these adorable hats and outfits.

Gonna Dress You Up in My Love....

We could not resist getting Lucy this little Madonna onesie. I have always been a huge fan of the Material Girl. We certainly want our Lucy to have strong, women as role models in her life. I don't necessarily want her strutting around town in her bras, but think that a fierce spirit is a good thing to admire.
